Love of sailing
I was introduced to sailing in my late teens and fell in love with seeing the ocean from a new perspective. My first experience with epoxy resin came about while maintaining and repairing the woodwork on our family sailboat. Then, again while repairing a door sill that our Labrador Retriever puppy had chewed at. The strength and durability of the product always impressed me, and I began working with resin artistically just prior to the Covid pandemic hitting the US. What began as a hobby became a powerful outlet for me during a trying time. We were raising two young children and I was working as a registered nurse at a Boston Hospital. I stepped away from nursing to devote more time to my family and my craft in 2021 and am constantly deepening my appreciation for the ocean, my family, and pursuing happiness.
Love of the sea
I live in the seaside town of Scituate, Massachusetts, which provides year round salty breezes and ocean inspiration. The sea has always been a place for renewal, relaxation, and reflection for me and my family.
The resin art that I create is infused with my love and respect for the ocean and its shorelines. Each piece is handmade with care in my studio in Scituate. I hope to share my love of the ocean with you through my art.
